Advocacy Day is Tuesday, May 24, 2011

Now is the time for your voice to be heard by federal elected officials. YOU need to map your way to Advocacy Day on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 following VOICES 2011! If you are interested in participating, be sure to select Advocacy Day as one of the events you plan to attend on your VOICES 2011 Registration Form or click here.

Advocacy Day is your chance to meet face-to-face with your elected Senators and Representative and their health staff. You are able to speak openly to your lawmakers about the needs and challenges HIV programs including Ryan White, Part D and prevention services face and request a needed increase in federal funding for the programs.  It gives lawmakers an opportunity to hear directly from their constituents on how HIV treatment and prevention programs have impacted their lives and communities.

AIDS Alliance schedules key meetings for those who register.  We will inform you about which meetings AIDS Alliance staff will schedule after your registration form has been received.

If you have any questions or if the staff at AIDS Alliance can help you prepare for this day in any way, please contact Sable K. Nelson at (202) 464-4107 or snelson@aids-alliance.org. Check back soon for more information.
